Diversity and standardization in education policy: settings of school coexistence

Resumo: The analysis in this paper proposes a reflection on the relationship between educational policies and school coexistence, bringing to the discussion the triangulation among empirical, traces of recent educational legislation and arguments of contemporary authors. The study emphasizes the contradictions between policy guidelines and curriculum evaluation, because while for the curriculum, the principle is the diversity, the assessment is marked by traces of standardization. Accordingly, we ask how do the principles and practices of diversity and standardization happen in the coexistence of the school context? The results show evidence of tensions, divergences and possible conflicts that guide the perceptions and actions of teachers and students in school life. It can be seen that teachers still guided primarily on concepts that make it difficult to overcome the practices of hierarchy and subordination in pedagogical relationships that manifest themselves in school life.

El estudio pone de relieve las contradicciones entre directrices politicas de curriculo y la evaluacion: para el curriculo, el principio que impera es la diversidad, y en el caso de la evaluacion, sus caracteristicas se aproximan a la padronizacion. Frente a esa situacion, nos preguntamos ¿como los principios y las practicas de la diversidad y de la estandarizacion inciden en la convivencia dentro del contexto escolar? Los resultados muestran indicios de tensiones, diferencias y posibles conflictos que guian las percepciones y acciones de los profesores y alumnos en la vida cotidiana escolar. Se puede observar que los profesores aún guian sus acciones principalmente en concepciones que dificultan el poder superar las practicas de jerarquia y subordinacion en las relaciones pedagogicas de la convivencia escolar.A analise, nesse artigo, propoe uma reflexão sobre as relacoes entre as politicas educacionais e a convivencia escolar, trazendo para a discussao a triangulação entre dados empiricos, tracos da legislação educacional recente e argumentos de autores contemporâneos. O estudo enfatiza as contradicoes entre diretrizes politicas de curriculo e avaliação, pois enquanto para o curriculo o principio e a diversidade, a avaliação esta marcada pelos tracos da padronização. Nesse sentido, indagamos de que modo os principios e práticas da diversidade e da padronização incidem na convivencia no contexto escolar? Os resultados apresentam indicios de tensoes, divergencias e possiveis conflitos que pautam as percepcoes e acoes de professores e estudantes no cotidiano escolar.
