Resumo: | : There has been an expansion in dispensing pharmacies during the last years. The problem of dispensing quality and stability of the final product lies within the dispensing practice. It is important that, after the development of the formulation, the product is tested for quality control and stability. Among the active compounds with low stability the most important is vitamin C, which is thermlabil and instable to oxidation and easily destructed by light, whereas its stability increases with low temperatures. Due to these characteristics, products with this substance require special care to avoid mistakes in dispensing and use. Current research evaluates the stability of gels with vitamin C bought from dispensing pharmacies. Five formulations with vitamin C were obtained from five different pharmacies in Maringá PR Brazil. A study for accelerated stability of formulations was undertaken in which samples in their original package were stored at different temperatures (5°C, room temperature; 40°C). Samples underwent analyses of their organoleptic characteristics, aspect, consistence, differences with regard to conditioning material, pH and active substance rates at 0, 30, 60 and 90 days. Samples of Pharmacy E, conditioned in aluminum tube and stored in a fridge, had the best result, or rather, the lowest reduction in vitamin C at the end of the stability test. In fact, they are the ideal conditions for conditioning and storage of formulations with vitamin C. |

It is important that, after the development of the formulation, the product is tested for quality control and stability. Samples of Pharmacy E, conditioned in aluminum tube and stored in a fridge, had the best result, or rather, the lowest reduction in vitamin C at the end of the stability test. In fact, they are the ideal conditions for conditioning and storage of formulations with vitamin C.Nos últimos anos tem ocorrido uma expansão das preparações farmacêuticas manipuladas.
