Marching “Artivism” and Performances: Anthropological analysis of the SlutWalk in Recife, 2019

Resumo: This article consists of an analysis of the 9th edition of the 2019 Slutwalk in Recife from the field experience and the theoretical enterprise of performance anthropology. I frame the march as an artivist performance, combining an aesthetics of confrontation with an ethics of resistance, marked by a “communication without anesthesia”. With this, a new analytical category is proposed in the study of artivist performances, which I called corporartura, which represents artistic writing by bodies.

Este artículo consiste en un análisis de la 9ª edición de la marcha de las putas de Recife, en 2019, desde la experiencia de campo y la empresa teórica de la antropología de la performance. Enmarco la marcha como una performance artivista, combinando una estética de la confrontación con una ética de la resistencia, marcada por una "comunicación sin anestesia". Con ello, se propone una nueva categoría analítica en el estudio de las performances artivistas, que denominé corporartura, que representa la escritura artística por los cuerpos. Cet article consiste en une analyse de la 9e édition de la Slutwalk de Recife, en 2019, à partir de l'expérience de terrain et de l'entreprise théorique de l'anthropologie de la performance. Je cadre la marche comme une performance artiviste, combinant une esthétique de la confrontation avec une éthique de la résistance, marquée par une “communication sans anesthésie”. Avec cela, une nouvelle catégorie analytique est proposée dans l'étude des performances artivistes, que j'ai appelée corporartura, qui représente l'écriture artistique par les corps.Este artigo consiste em uma análise da 9ª edição da marcha das vadias de Recife, em 2019, a partir da experiência de campo e do empreendimento teórico da antropologia da performance. Enquadrei a marcha enquanto uma performance artivista, aliando uma estética do confronto a uma ética da resistência, marcada por uma “comunicação sem anestesia”.
