Mentoring in Junior Scientific Initiation: reflections and processes of an action research

Resumo: The processes related to scientific initiation in education have become an important object of study and analysis in the contemporary world. The main objective of this text was to present and discuss an experience of mentoring Junior Scientific Initiation Scholars with elementary school students, between 2020 and 2021. To this end, the steps taken during the orientation process are analyzed: selection to participate in the research project; the production of texts on research science and methodology and the uses of the Google Classroom platform; meetings and uses of the Google Meet platform; the production of research; writing scientific articles and uses of the Google Drive platform; and, finally, the publications of investigations. It is considered that the reported process makes it possible to examine the potential and challenges employed in the mentoring of basic education scholarship students, as well as to encourage such practice to be carried out in multiple spaces.

El objetivo principal de este texto fue presentar y discutir una experiencia de tutoría de becarios de Iniciación Científica Júnior con estudiantes de la escuela básica, entre los años del 2020 y 2021. Para ello, se analizan los pasos dados durante el proceso de orientación: selección para participar en el proyecto de investigación; la producción de textos sobre ciencia y metodología de la investigación y los usos de la plataforma Google Classroom; reuniones y encuentros y usos de la plataforma Google Meet; la producción de la investigación; redacción de artículos científicos y uso de la plataforma Google Drive; y, finalmente, las publicaciones de las investigaciones. Se considera que el proceso relatado permite examinar las potencialidades y retos empleados en la orientación de becarios de educación básica, así como incentivar que esa práctica se realice en múltiples espacios.Os processos relacionados à iniciação científica na educação vêm tornando-se importante objeto de estudos e análises. O principal objetivo deste texto foi apresentar e discutir uma experiência de orientação de bolsistas de Iniciação Científica Júnior com estudantes da escola básica, entre 2020 e 2021. Para tanto, analisam-se as etapas do processo de orientação: seleção para participar do projeto de pesquisa; produção de textos sobre ciência e metodologia da pesquisa e os usos da plataforma Google Classroom; encontros, reuniões e usos da plataforma Google Meet; produção das pesquisas; escrita de artigos científicos e usos da plataforma Google Drive; por fim, as publicações das investigações.
