Estudo aplicado em campo para reduzir os índices de rejeição e retrabalho em componentes alto brilho de produtos metálicos

The global market has sought to reinvent itself to overcome the serious crisis that affected the world from 2019. To survive the "new normal" companies need to be competitive without losing the quality of their products, have productivity and, of course, meet the satisfaction of their customers your customers. With this in mind, the rework rates must be reduced as much as possible. The present work has the purpose of acting in the reduction of the rejection and rework rates in metallic components using continuous improvement tools. The application of quality tools to improve processes and solve problems contribute to a defined standard to be followed, these making processes more robust and efficient. With this purpose, an exploratory, qualitative case study was started for the application of tools already used in the company for quality management. Among them, the following stand out: Brainstorming, Ishikawa, 5W2H, PDCA method, work instruction and 5S in a global war products industry. This proposal was developed through the author's knowledge and experience aiming at continuous improvement and robustness of production processes, with the purpose of solving, in the short term, the problem of rejection identified in the visual inspection sector and the opening of rework for the sector of polishing. The results obtained brought solutions to the causes of the problem, such as component “A” which, at the time of the study, had a rejection rate of 44% and dropped to 5%. Another item, component “B”, had a 35% failure rate, dropped to 18%. Finally, the researcher suggests replicating the study for the other components of the product studied.
