Resumo: In the challenging environment in which organizations operate, decision making is increasingly important, both to increase results and to mitigate risks. The aim of this study was to identify, among general managers and middle management, the individual's profile in decision making - between a more rational or more behavioral profile - and to verify correlations between the identified profile and the organization's financial result. The research was based on concepts about rational decision (Von Neumann, Morgenstern), behavioral decision (Simon; Tversky, Kahneman; Thaler) and financial results. Data on the individual's profile in decision-making were obtained through a survey, sending e-mail and electronic response, with a sample (n = 364) that included managers of a large retail bank, in units located in Paraná. After analyzing the results using the SEM Structural Equation Modeling, the sample has a majority of males, between 36 and 45 years old, with more than 15 years in the company and between 6 to 10 years in management role, which demonstrates a managerial profile experienced. It was confirmed that the rational profile presents the best financial result for the organization and that the profile of the individual in the decision has a correlation with the financial result, being positive between the rational profile and the financial result. In the study, a Decision Profile Matrix was drawn up, showing that the same individual has rational and behavioral positions in the decision, which are not mutually exclusive, with four distinct profiles being identified among the individuals surveyed: 'Rational Emotive', 'Full Rational', 'Profile Neutral' and 'Full Behavioral'. In addition, as a contribution of this study, the discussion about decision making and that the identification of the individual's profile can be used by companies as a way of understanding needs and raising the organization's results through a better structuring and systematization of the decision-making process.

In addition, as a contribution of this study, the discussion about decision making and that the identification of the individual's profile can be used by companies as a way of understanding needs and raising the organization's results through a better structuring and systematization of the decision-making process. Universidade PositivoBrasilPós-GraduaçãoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AdministraçãoUPMariutti, Fabiana Gondimhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7418547824053811Terres, Alexandre Azeredo2021-04-27T23:29:07Z20202021-04-27T23:29:07Z2020info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/1976porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2021-05-20T21:02:35Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/1976Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2021-05-20T21:02:35Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
