A discursive approach to the evaluation of undergraduate education in Librarianship in Brazil

Resumo: The main proposition of this essay is to think the assumptions of teaching evaluation of Library in Brazil from theoretical and methodological confrontation between Habermas and Luhmann. We present the guidelines and methods of National Assessment of Higher Education (SINAES). We also present the efforts of Brazilian Association of Education in Information Science (ABECIN) to include evaluation on the agenda of education directors. The curriculum guidelines are the denominator of evaluations. We conclude that a discursive approach of the evaluation can contribute to process improvement and innovation of teaching Library.

Se presentan los lineamientos y métodos del Sistema Nacional de Evaluación de la Educación Superior (SINAES). También se presentan los esfuerzos de la Asociación Brasileña de Educación en Ciencias de la Información (ABECIN) para incluir la evaluación en la agenda de gestión de la educación de graduación. Las directrices curriculares son el denominador de las evaluaciones. Se concluye que un enfoque discursivo de la evaluación puede contribuir a la mejora de los procesos y la innovación en la enseñanza de la Biblioteconomía.A principal proposição deste ensaio é pensar os pressupostos da avaliação do ensino de Biblioteconomia no Brasil a partir do confronto teórico e metodológico entre Habermas e Luhmann. São apresentadas diretrizes e métodos do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação do Ensino Superior (SINAES). São apresentados também os esforços da Associação Brasileira de Educação em Ciência da Informação (ABECIN) no sentido de incluir a avaliação na agenda de administração do ensino de graduação. As diretrizes curriculares são o denominador das avaliações.
