Organization of information and artificial intelligence: the textual organization proposed by ChatGPT

Resumo: Information Science is considered an interdisciplinary science, which means that it contributes to and receives contributions from various fields, one of which is Computer Science. Among the fields of study in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence is currently prominent, as interest in studies related to machine intelligence has increased significantly, especially with the emergence of generative tools like ChatGPT. Considering that these tools are capable of imitating some cognitive functions of humans, their applications in information organization can be explored. The objective of this research is to reflect on the possibilities of information organization resulting from access to ChatGPT, exploring text configuration and how the chatbot composes informational objects in its responses. Given the above, artificial intelligence has great potential to be a tool for assisting in information organization; however, ChatGPT has some limitations that need to be studied and developed to offer better application possibilities.

Dentro de los campos de estudio de la Ciencia de la Computación, la Inteligencia Artificial está destacada actualmente, dado que el interés en estudios relacionados con la inteligencia de las máquinas ha aumentado significativamente, especialmente con la aparición de herramientas generativas como ChatGPT. Teniendo en cuenta que estas herramientas son capaces de imitar algunas funciones cognitivas de los seres humanos, se pueden explorar sus aplicaciones en la organización de la información. El objetivo de esta investigación es reflexionar sobre las posibilidades de organización de la información derivadas del acceso a ChatGPT, explorando la configuración del texto y cómo el chatbot compone los objetos informativos en sus respuestas. Dado lo expuesto, la inteligencia artificial tiene un gran potencial para ser una herramienta de apoyo en la organización de la información; sin embargo, ChatGPT tiene algunas limitaciones que deben ser estudiadas y desarrolladas para ofrecer mejores posibilidades de aplicación.A Ciência da Informação é considerada uma ciência interdisciplinar, o que significa que ela contribui e recebe contribuições de várias áreas, sendo uma delas a Ciência da Computação. Dentre os campos de estudo da Ciência da Computação, a Inteligência Artificial está em destaque atualmente, visto que o interesse por estudos voltados à inteligência das máquinas têm aumentado significativamente, principalmente mediante ao surgimento de ferramentas generativas, como o ChatGPT. Tendo em vista que essas ferramentas são capazes de imitar algumas funções cognitivas dos seres humanos, pode-se explorar suas aplicações na organização da informação. O objetivo desta pesquisa é refletir sobre as possibilidades de organização da informação decorrente ao acesso ao ChatGPT, em que será explorada a configuração do texto e de que maneira o chatbot compõe os objetos informacionais em suas respostas.
