The philosophy in library science courses in Brazil: a study on the most recurrent areas and authors in the curriculum

Resumo: | The general objective of this research is to analyze the application of philosophy teaching in Librarianship courses in Brazil. To understand this important relationship between Librarianship and the teaching of Philosophy, an initially quantitative survey was carried out, so that, later, qualitative reflections are presented that analyze the impact of humanistic disciplines on the training of librarians. Based on these studies, it was first possible to understand that the importance of these philosophical disciplines in Librarianship courses suggests professional training beyond the technical scope, enabling professionals to act in social, political and cultural dimensions, developing a critical view of the social organizations and work environments. Librarianship, as a branch of information science, is based on its ability to record, store, and store crucial information for the development of knowledge. And, the teaching of Philosophy in these courses, through its demand for demonstration, rationalization and exposition, stimulates the courage of professionals in librarianship to think correctly about matters in this area of knowledge. |

El objetivo general de esta investigación es analizar la aplicación de la enseñanza de la filosofía en los cursos de Biblioteconomía en Brasil. Para comprender esta importante relación entre la Biblioteconomía y la enseñanza de la Filosofía, se realizó un levantamiento inicialmente cuantitativo, para, posteriormente, presentar reflexiones cualitativas que analicen el impacto de las disciplinas humanísticas en la formación de bibliotecarios. Con base en estos estudios, primero fue posible comprender que la importancia de estas disciplinas filosóficas en los cursos de Bibliotecología sugiere una formación profesional más allá del ámbito técnico, capacitando a los profesionales para actuar en las dimensiones social, política y cultural, desarrollando una visión crítica de las organizaciones sociales y ambientes de trabajo La bibliotecología, como rama de la ciencia de la información, se basa en su capacidad para registrar, almacenar y almacenar información crucial para el desarrollo del conocimiento. Y, la enseñanza de la Filosofía en estos cursos, por su exigencia de demostración, racionalización y exposición, estimula el coraje de los profesionales de la biblioteconomía para pensar correctamente las cuestiones de esta área del saber.O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é o de analisar a aplicação do ensino de filosofia nos cursos de Biblioteconomia no Brasil. Para compreender essa importante relação entre Biblioteconomia e o ensino de Filosofia, realizou-se um levantamento inicialmente quantitativo, para que, posteriormente, se apresente reflexões qualitativas que analise o impacto de disciplinas humanísticas na formação dos bibliotecários. Com base nesses estudos, foi possível primeiro compreender que a importância dessas disciplinas filosóficas nos cursos da Biblioteconomia, sugere a capacitação profissional para além do âmbito técnico, possibilitando que os profissionais atuem em dimensões sociais, políticas e culturais, desenvolvendo uma visão crítica em relação às organizações sociais e ambientes laborais. A biblioteconomia, como um ramo da ciência da informação, se fundamenta na sua capacidade de registrar, guardar, estocar informações cruciais para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento. E, o ensino da Filosofia nestes cursos, estimula através da sua exigência de demonstração, racionalização e exposição a coragem dos profissionais da biblioteconomia a pensar corretamente sobre assuntos desta área do saber.
