Documentary reading: pragmatic aspects of reception and condensation of texts to index and summarize

Resumo: Reflections on reading in documentation highlighted for theories of text reception, based on concepts derived from the Semiotics of reception, Aesthetics of reception and Textual linguistics. In this sense, the dialectical author-text-reader relationships and the problems of interpretation are discussed. We conclude, based on these theories, that reading in documentation is always intentional and performed under institutional constraints. It requires that the intentio lectoris respect the itentio operis. This principle can guarantee the production of indexes and abstracts adherent to the informational content of the texts and be helpful to retrieve precise information.

En esta medida, se discuten las relaciones dialécticas entre autor-texto-lector y los problemas de interpretación del texto. Se concluye, con base en estas teorías, que en la lectura documental, siempre realizada bajo condicionantes institucionales, la intentio lectoris exige el respeto a la itentio operis. Es el respeto a este principio lo que puede garantizar la producción de índices y resúmenes apegados al contenido informativo de los textos, así como la pertinencia en la recuperación de la información.Reflexões sobre Leitura documentária problematizada à luz das teorias sobre a recepção de textos, com base em conceitos derivados da Semiótica da recepção, da Estética da recepção e da Linguística textual. Nessa medida, são discutidas as relações dialéticas entre autor-texto-leitor e os problemas da interpretação de textos. Conclui-se, com base nessas teorias, que na Leitura documentária, realizada sempre sob coerções institucionais, a intentio lectoris requer o respeito à itentio operis.
