Teaching internship in teacher training in information science in Brazil: experience report

Resumo: Teacher training in Information Science in Brazil is normatively formalized through teaching internships in postgraduate courses, in the doctorate and master's modalities. In order to comply with the regulations of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, the doctoral student on a scholarship must carry out activities related to the teaching internship in an undergraduate course, preferably linked to the intern's training and research area. Such activities are supervised by an advisor professor with a doctor's degree. This research aims to report the actions carried out by the doctoral student in Information Science, during the teaching internship. To meet the main objective, a brief literature review is presented that addresses the definition and possible actions taken by students and professors in the process of planning, acting, and completing the discipline; assessment of the existence of publications on the subject within the scope of Information Science in Brazil; It presents the students' perceptions about the methodological and evaluative processes addressed. This research is of a qualitative nature, of the descriptive type in which the researcher has direct contact with the researched environment, inserts himself in it to observe, evaluate and, in some cases, participate in it. Its method is the experience report, being related to the teaching internship in the graduation of the Librarianship and Management of Information Units Course at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, within the scope of the discipline 'Fundamentals of Librarianship and Information Science'. The teaching internship, the result of this research, was developed by a doctoral student of the Graduate Program in Information Science at the Sao Paulo State University, in the first semester of 2022, in the face-to-face modality, under the direct supervision of a doctor in Information Science and course professor. It presents the perceptions of the actions of the intern teacher, through the application of a questionnaire elaborated in Google Forms and sent to the individual e-mail of the students of the discipline taught. It concludes that there is a need for trainees to perform in complementary activities beyond the classroom. It emphasizes that the learning developed through interaction with professors of the subject of teaching internship, aims to prepare future higher education professors for this environment. It highlights the need for research on the subject within the scope of Information Science, in order to encourage discussions about this universe.

Para dar cumplimiento a las normas de la Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, el doctorando becado deberá realizar actividades afines a la pasantía docente en un curso de pregrado, preferentemente vinculado al área de formación e investigación del pasante. Dichas actividades son supervisadas por un profesor con título de doctor. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo relatar las acciones realizadas por la estudiante de doctorado en Ciencias de la Información, durante la pasantía docente. Para cumplir con el objetivo principal, se presenta una breve revisión bibliográfica que aborda la definición y las posibles acciones que realizan los estudiantes y profesores en el proceso de planear, actuar y finalizar la disciplina; evaluación de la existencia de publicaciones sobre el tema en el ámbito de las Ciencias de la Información en Brasil; presenta las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre los procesos metodológicos y evaluativos abordados. Esta investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa, de tipo descriptiva en la que el investigador tiene contacto directo con el medio investigado, se inserta en él para observar, evaluar y, en algunos casos, participar en él. El método es el relato de experiencia, relacionándose con la pasantía docente en la graduación del Curso de Biblioteconomía y Gestión de Unidades de Información de la Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, en el ámbito de la disciplina 'Fundamentos de Biblioteconomía y Ciencias de la Información'. La pasantía docente, resultado de esta investigación, fue desarrollada por un estudiante de doctorado del Programa de Posgrado en Ciencias de la Información de la Universidade Estadual Paulista, en el primer semestre de 2022, en la modalidad presencial, bajo la supervisión directa de un doctor en Ciencias de la Información y profesor de la carrera. Presenta las percepciones de las acciones del docente en prácticas, a través de la aplicación de un cuestionario elaborado en Google Forms y enviado al correo electrónico individual de los alumnos de la disciplina impartida. Se concluye que existe la necesidad de que los pasantes se desempeñen en actividades complementarias más allá del aula. Destaca que el aprendizaje desarrollado a través de la interacción con los profesores de la asignatura de pasantía docente tiene como objetivo preparar a los futuros profesores de educación superior para este ambiente. Destaca la necesidad de investigaciones sobre el tema en el ámbito de las Ciencias de la Información, con el fin de incentivar discusiones sobre ese universo.A formação docente em Ciência da Informação no Brasil é formalizada normativamente por meio de estágio de docência nos cursos de pós-graduação, nas modalidades de doutorado e mestrado. No intuito de atender à normativa da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, o discente de doutorado bolsista obrigatoriamente deve executar atividades relacionadas ao estágio de docência em um curso de graduação preferencialmente vinculado à área de formação e pesquisa do estagiário. Tais atividades são supervisionadas por um professor supervisor com título de doutor. Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo relatar as ações realizadas pela discente de doutorado em Ciência da Informação, durante seu estágio de docência. Para atender ao objetivo principal, apresenta-se uma breve revisão de literatura que aborda a definição e possíveis ações realizadas por discentes e docente no processo de planejamento, atuação e finalização da disciplina; avaliação da existência de publicações sobre a temática no âmbito da Ciência da Informação no Brasil; apresenta as percepções dos discentes sobre os processos metodológicos e avaliativos abordados. Esta pesquisa se configura como de natureza qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, em que o pesquisador tem contato direto com o ambiente pesquisado e insere-se nele para observar, avaliar e, em alguns casos, ser participante também. Usou como método o relato de experiência, sendo relacionado ao estágio de docência na graduação do Curso de Biblioteconomia e Gestão de Unidades de Informação da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, no âmbito da disciplina ‘Fundamentos da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação’. O estágio de docência, objeto desta pesquisa, foi desenvolvido por uma doutoranda do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação, da Universidade Estadual Paulista, no primeiro semestre letivo do ano de 2022, na modalidade presencial, sob a supervisão direta de um docente doutor em Ciência da Informação e professor do curso. Apresenta as percepções das ações da docente estagiária, por meio da aplicação de um questionário elaborado no Google Forms e enviado para o e-mail individual dos discentes da turma da disciplina ministrada. Conclui que há a necessidade de atuação dos estagiários em atividades complementares para além da sala de aula. Ressalta que o aprendizado desenvolvido por meio da interação com professores da disciplina de estágio docência tem por objetivo preparar o futuro docente de ensino superior para este ambiente.
