Resumo: | This article aims to explain and analyze some methodological characteristics of action research and the researcher's relationship with others from the perspective of alterity, dialogicity and sensitive listening. Among the questions are: What are the main characteristics of action research applied to education? What factors can contribute to the researcher’s investigation with the other(s) in action research? Literature review guides our proposal and was fundamental for a better understanding of the characteristics, stages and concepts of action research. We understand that, in the investigative processes about education, the different ways of expressing the speeches of others remind us of the daily lives, and, in the research processes, the social actors constantly establish meanings and assign new meanings to their knowledge. Sensitive listening.O presente artigo tem, como objetivo, explicitar e analisar algumas características metodológicas da pesquisa-ação e da relação do pesquisador com o seu outro na perspectiva da alteridade, dialogicidade e escuta sensível. Entre os questionamentos destacamos: quais as principais características da pesquisa-ação aplicadas à educação? Quais fatores podem contribuir no fazer investigativo do pesquisador com o outro na pesquisa-ação? A pesquisa bibliográfica balizou nossa proposta e foi fundamental para o melhor entendimento das características, etapas e conceitos da pesquisa-ação. Entendemos que, nos processos investigativos sobre a educação, as diversas formas de expressar as falas dos outros nos remetem aos cotidianos, sendo que, nos processos de pesquisa, os atores sociais estabelecem sentidos e ressignificam seus saberes constantemente.
