Resumo: | This article is a scientific research clipping of bibliographic nature, concerning to three public schools that were awarded for the progressive growth in the results achieved in the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb, Brazilian acronym). This study sought to understand the possible factors associated with the good performance of schools in a municipality in Minas Gerais State, Brazil. In the quali/quanti approach, the bibliographic analysis emphasizes the need to understand the evaluation importance and its improvement in the academic scope. Quantitatively, it analyzes the data acquired through websites of schools and of government institutions. It is possible to notice that the index of each school had a quick growth in the cut-off period for research. There is a certain consistency that the results achieved were due to two criteria, teaching level and students 'performance. In permanent discussions involving the approaches described, the research needs to gather evidence on how such results happen within schools, aiming to show the effective teaching-learning practices centered on students and on teaching beyond numerical/statistical indices. |

Este estudo buscou compreender os possíveis fatores associados ao bom desempenho das escolas de um município mineiro. Na abordagem quali/quanti, a análise bibliográfica ressalta a necessidade de compreendermos a valorização da avaliação e seu aprimoramento no âmbito acadêmico. Quantitativamente, analisa os dados capturados por sites eletrônicos das próprias escolas e instituições governamentais. É possível perceber que o índice de cada escola teve crescimento vertiginoso no período recortado na pesquisa. Há certa constância de que os resultados alcançados se deram por dois critérios: nível de ensino e desempenho.
