Autism spectrum disorder: teacher training and practices inclusives in the school context

Resumo: The objective of the article is to present a survey and analysis of the work of education professionals on pedagogical concepts regarding teacher training, professional development, and pedagogical work in the teaching-learning process of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The methodology was qualitative approach with a Content Analysis design. The research was carried out in a Basic Education unit, in the city of Santos/SP, with the application of the questionnaire to 21 professionals working in education. From the results obtained, a lack of initial academic training for teachers and the management team to work with students with ASD in the school environment was identified, resulting in the search for specialization courses for professional improvement and pedagogical intervention.

A metodologia teve a abordagem qualitativa com delineamento de Análise de Conteúdo. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma unidade da Educação Básica em Santos/SP, com aplicação do questionário para 21 profissionais com atuação na educação.
