Olhares discentes sobre o ensino da Educação Física na EJA / Student views about the teaching of physical education in youth and adult education (YAE)

 ResumoObjetivou-se identificar e analisar a forma como os/as alunos/as da EJA da cidade de Barra do Garças-MT compreendem a disciplina Educação Física em seu processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Consiste de uma pesquisa direta e de abordagem qualitativa que se sustenta na análise de fontes bibliográficas, documentais e questionários aplicados a quarenta discentes. Apesar das legitimações que regem a facultatividade da Educação Física no ensino noturno, o grupo investigado informou afinidade por esta disciplina, participando regularmente das aulas, atribuindo-lhe valores que a associam à melhoria da saúde e não ao esporte, como evidenciado por estudos da área. Contudo, ao descreverem os conteúdos importantes a serem aprendidos nas aulas de Educação Física, esporte e saúde assumem significados semelhantes.Palavras-chave: Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Conteúdos. AbstrctWe aimed at identifying and analyzing how YAE students in the city of Barra do Garças, state of Mato Grosso, understand Physical Education as a discipline in their teaching and learning process. The study is the result of the direct survey with a qualitative approach that was supported by the analysis of bibliographic sources, documents and questionnaires applied to forty students. Despite the legitimizations that rule the optionality of Physical Education at night schools, the surveyed group reported affinity for this discipline, regularly attending the classes, assigning it values that associate it to health improvement and not the sports, as demonstrated by studies of the area. However, when describing the important content to be learned in Physical Education classes, sports and health, they assume similar meanings. Keywords: Youth and Adult Education.
