Resumo: Developed from a report by the research group of the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (Ibmec-RJ) and together with the National Federation of Supplementary Health (FenaSaúde), this study systematically addresses the criteria for the Assessment of Health Technologies (AT). It seeks to present an expanded glossary regarding the possibilities of joint analysis of HTAs, in order to critically reflect the challenges between the coverage of the Brazilian public and private systems. Based on landmarks of economic theory, the best application of such technologies in health is still discussed, both from the macro point of view and from the productivity rules.
