Human resources management in the process of internationalization

Resumo: This article aims at presenting a case study of a Brazilian company's global engineering and construction segment. The focus of the article is the international human resource management subsystems with emphasis on recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and expatriates and repatriates. The study was divided into four stages: the first was to review the literature on the topic of international human resources and culture of countries, the second was the realization of various semi-structured interviews to collect data on the procedures, policies and practices of international human resource the company, the third was to search on websites and in internal company documents, and the last step was to analyze the content of the interviews and their correlations with the conceptual framework. There was a need for developing a joint strategic planning between the areas of international relations in the area of human resources, that takes into account the cultural aspects of each country where they operate to better preparation of leaders today. It was also noted that the company is undertaking actions to change the position of Human Resources for a more strategic.

It was also noted that the company is undertaking actions to change the position of Human Resources for a more strategic.Esse artigo tem como objetivo cotejar a discussão conceitual das estratégias de internacionalização e seus impactos no gerenciamento de recursos humanos com um estudo de caso de uma empresa brasileira globalizada do segmento de engenharia e construção. O foco do artigo é o gerenciamento de recursos humanos com destaque aos subsistemas. A metodologia usada foi o estudo de caso da Construtora Camargo Correa. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevistas em profundidade, baseando-se em um questionário que foi elaborado após a revisão bibliográfica sobre a temática de recursos humanos internacionais. Os dados foram agrupados em grandes categorias usando-se como referencial os processos da área de RH. Finalmente, foi analisado o conteúdo dos dados coletas e correlacionados com o referencial conceitual.
