This study proposes to analyze the relationship of the mass media, in particular, the printed newspaper, evaluating the news production methods and the consequence in criminal procedural law, in view of the broadcast of reports involving crimes judged by the Jury Court . In addition to analyzing the influence of these news items on the decision handed down by the people's court, it also seeks to observe how this content production shows, in a hasty and sometimes erroneous way, the social condemnation of the defendants who go to the jury. In this work, bibliographic methodology and qualitative research were used to understand the influence of the media in this type of court, in order to identify whether there is an exaggerated exploitation of criminal cases, contributing directly and indirectly to the decision of the lucky ones to compose the jury
