Resumo: The present work aims to understand the constant transformations of the body in the social environment to which it is inserted, in order to try to understand how social practices and the influence of the media are capable of shaping the individual in society. In this sense, the present article is based on an analysis of the body in Western history and, secondly, on a sociological and anthropological analysis of the body in Brazil, especially during periods of intense repression of the body, such as the period of the military dictatorship, through an anthropological and legal analysis. In the third chapter, we will analyze the body transformations known as extreme, in particular the practice of eyeball tattoo, a procedure in which ink is injected of the color chosen by the person in the space between the conjunctiva and the sclera, thus pigmenting the white part of the eyes. In this sense, the body represents an object reconfigurable according to the demands and influences of the society to which the individual is inserted

Neste sentido o presente artigo está pautado numa análise do corpo na história ocidental e, em um segundo momento em uma análise sociológica e antropológica do corpo no Brasil, em especial, nos períodos de intensa repressão do corpo, como o período da ditadura militar, por meio de uma análise antropológica e jurídica. No terceiro capítulo, serão analisadas as transformações corporais conhecidas como extremas, em especial a prática do eyeball tattoo, procedimento no qual é injetado tinta da cor escolhida pela pessoa no espaço entre a conjuntiva e a esclera, pigmentando, assim, a parte branca dos olhos.
