READER'S LITERARY EDUCATION AS MISSION SCHOOL LIBRARY: RECEPTION A ESTHETIC THEORY OF CONTRIBUTIONS

Resumo: The present study aims to assess the impact of a literature reading workshop based on the Reception Theory, by Jauss, in regards to developing reading skills and promoting a taste for reading. The collective reading of the tale "The Telltale Heart", by Edgar Allan Poe, was followed by the historical contextualization of the author and the work, and text interpretation. The workshop was presented as a School Library action for practicing literature reading as leisure and for aesthetic pleasure. The research is characterized as qualitative, through action research, and the data collection instrument was a questionnaire applied to the students. It was possible to infer that the workshop based on the premises of the Aesthetic of Reception had a positive impact on the students with respect to a pleasant contact with literature, therefore, encouraging reading; that it developed an aesthetic perception, through a critical reading, contextualized and interpreted by different readings of the world.

It was possible to infer that the workshop based on the premises of the Aesthetic of Reception had a positive impact on the students with respect to a pleasant contact with literature, therefore, encouraging reading; that it developed an aesthetic perception, through a critical reading, contextualized and interpreted by different readings of the world. A presente pesquisa se propôs a avaliar o impacto de uma oficina de leitura de literatura baseada na Teoria da Estética da Recepção, de Hanz Robert Jauss (1921-1997) e Wolfgang Iser (1926-2007), no que tange à formação do leitor e ao desenvolvimento do gosto pela leitura. A leitura coletiva do conto “O coração delator”, de Edgar Alan Poe, foi seguida de contextualização histórica do autor e da obra, e de interpretação do texto. A oficina apresentou-se como uma ação da Biblioteca Escolar para a prática de leitura de literatura como lazer e prazer estético. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, por meio de pesquisa-ação, cujo instrumento de coleta de dados foi um questionário aplicado com os estudantes. Foi possível inferir que a oficina baseada nas premissas da Estética da Recepção teve um impacto positivo para os estudantes no que respeita ao contato prazeroso com a literatura, portanto, para o incentivo à leitura; que ela foi capaz de desenvolver a percepção estética, por meio de uma leitura crítica, contextualizada e interpretada a partir das diferentes leituras de mundo.  Percebeu-se, por outro lado, que em apenas uma edição, a oficina não foi suficiente para a maioria dos participantes afirmar a intenção de realizar uma leitura mais aprofundada em sua atividade individual, ficando então o desafio de realizar a oficina de forma contínua e de avaliar a efetividade dela para a formação do leitor.Federação Brasileira de Associações de Bibliotecários, Cientistas da Informação e Inst.2018-09-28info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rbbd.febab.org.br/rbbd/article/view/1084Revista Brasileira de Biblioteconomia e Documentação; v. 14 n. 3 (2018); 193-2091980-69490100-0691reponame:RBBD.
