Resumo: | The study is an analysis of values and concepts employed by the Brazilian society to build up an image of its public servant. It examines also the different ways in which the public functionaries themselves react to the pattern of their collective representation, elaborating their own "counter-representations" within the framework of a historic and social moment of special significance. |
