Resumo: The work is an important tool for understanding how digital technology in health can become a fundamental instrument for the improvement of available health treatments and the development of new mechanisms and medical treatments in public and private health networks. It presents statistical and comparative data corresponding to the use of digital technology in health, both in Brazil and abroad (such as the United States, United Kingdom, India, among others) revealing that its use has shown positive results in most of the countries surveyed.

Presenta datos estadísticos y comparativos correspondientes al uso de la tecnología digital en salud, tanto en Brasil como en el extranjero (como estados Unidos, Reino Unido, India, entre otros) revelando que su uso ha dado resultados positivos en la mayoría de los países encuestados. A obra resenhada constitui ferramenta importante à compreensão de como a tecnologia digital em saúde pode se tornar instrumento fundamental para o aperfeiçoamento dos tratamentos de saúde disponíveis e desenvolvimento de novos mecanismos e tratamentos médicos nas redes pública e privada de saúde.
