Resumo: Objective: Describe cases of intoxication and deaths due to the use of agricultural pesticides in the state of Goiás. Analyze along if the Right to Health is being guaranteed. Methodology: The descriptive research was carried out by collecting data from the National Toxic-Pharmacological Information System regarding intoxications and deaths by agricultural pesticides in the state of Goiás. A document study was done on the laws that regulate the use of pesticides in Brazil and also in the State of Goiás. Results: Data allowed to identify greater cases of intoxication and deaths for males and for attempted suicide, followed by occupational exposure. The cases of intoxication predominated in the urban area and for individuals between 20 and 39 years. Deaths predominated between 20 to 49 years. Conclusion: Intoxications and deaths due to the use of agricultural pesticides were significant in attempting suicide. Creation of a unified database where all information on intoxications and deaths from pesticides is complete. Brazil and Goiás have laws that regulate the use and commercialization of pesticides, but it has a poor inspection. Influence of agriculture in the political circles are reflected in legislative proposals that could cause a regression in the regulation of pesticides and threaten the right to health of the Brazilian population.
