Resumo: | Cross-sectional study with quantitative and qualitative approach, aimed at identifying the changes expressed by women in menopause, a mapping from the municipality. Participants 123 women aged between 40 and 60 years in a Basic Health Unit of reference of the neighborhood center, located in a municipality in the southern Santa Catarina and also in homes, through home visits. We used structured interview with open and closed questions. Among all variables, they emphasized the eagerness with 74.8% (n = 92) among the sample achieved. Using multivariate analysis, variables were divided into two groups (anxiety and depression 35.8% (n = 44) X insomnia / headaches / fatigue / irritability 26.8% (n = 33), but using the chi square Pearson, no significant comparative result. It is essential to the role of the nurse in guiding and promoting the health of women during the climacteric period, providing support and guidance about this new stage of life. |

Participaram 123 mulheres com idade entre 40 e 60 anos, em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde de referência do bairro centro, situada em um município da região Sul de Santa Catarina e, também nos domicílios, por meio de visitas domiciliares. Utilizou-se roteiro de entrevista, com questões abertas e fechadas. Entre todas as variáveis, destacou-se a ansiedade com 74,8% (n=92) dentre a amostra atingida. Através de análises multivariadas, as variáveis se dividiram em dois grupos (ansiedade e depressão 35,8% (n=44) X insônia/cefaléia/fadiga/irritabilidade 26,8% (n=33); porém, através do teste qui quadrado dePearson, não houve resultado comparativo significativo.
