Feedback to unsuccessful candidates in company selection processes

Resumo: The feedback applied to unapproved participants in the selective processes is uncommon practice in organizations, which prevents them from knowing their weaknesses to improve them and their strengths to enhance them. Although the subject is relevant from a social and academic point of view, there is little publication dealing with the harmful effects that the lack of feedback provokes in the people, reason that gave cause to this study, based on bibliographical, documentary and field research, if proposed to identify the impacts that the lack of feedback causes on the candidates. The results show the problems faced by professionals who are seeking a position in the labor market, such as: anxiety, indignation, disrespect, embarrassment. Conversely, receiving feedback would enable those involved to leverage their professional profiles.

Ainda que o tema seja relevante do ponto de vista social e acadêmico, há pouca publicação tratando dos efeitos danosos que a falta do feedback provoca nas pessoas, motivo que deu causa a este estudo que, baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, se propôs a identificar os impactos que a falta de feedback provoca nos candidatos. Os resultados mostram os problemas enfrentados pelos profissionais que estão em busca de uma posição no mercado de trabalho, tais como: ansiedade, indignação, desrespeito, constrangimento.
