Resumo: | Introduction: In January 2020, the World Health Organization launched a pandemic due to Covid-19. Consequently, there was a need for abrupt and compulsory adoption of social isolation and the transition from face-to-face teaching to remote teaching. The modality was authorized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) for the medicine course, for theoretical-cognitive subjects, with practical activities being vetoed. Objetive: This study aims to identify the impacts of the pandemic and remote teaching on the learning of medical students. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, based on data collected through the application of a questionnaire to 145 students from the 3rd to the 8th period of the medicine course at Centro Universitário Governador Ozanam Coelho (UNIFAGOC). Results: Medical students experienced a sharp drop in their academic performance and learning, both theoretical and practical, during the pandemic. There was an emphasis on the emergence of symptoms of anxiety and depression. Conclusion: Remote teaching worked in a complementary way, proving to be useful for the continuity of studies during the pandemic period. |

Por consequência, houve a necessidade da adoção abrupta e compulsória do isolamento social e da transição do ensino presencial para o ensino remoto. Ao curso de Medicina, a modalidade remota foi autorizada pelo Ministério da Educação e Cultura (MEC) para disciplinas teórico-cognitivas, sendo as atividades práticas vetadas. Identificar os impactos da pandemia e do ensino remoto no aprendizado de estudantes de Medicina. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e descritivo, de abordagem quali-quantitativa, feito com base em dados coletados por meio da aplicação de um questionário a 145 alunos do 3o ao 8o período do curso de Medicina de um centro universitário privado em Minas Gerais. Os estudantes de Medicina passaram por uma queda acentuada no seu rendimento acadêmico e no aprendizado, teórico e prático, durante a pandemia, além do destaque para o surgimento de sintomas de ansiedade e depressão.
