Impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of health professionals in Brazil: An integrative review.

Resumo: | Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic brought insecurities, adversities, and fears that the international community has not experienced for decades. Pandemics imply sudden changes in society's daily life. These consequences generate impacts that can go beyond the facing capacity of the people who experience it. In this context, this article aimed at integrally review the possible psychological impacts resulting from this reality. Objective: To integrally review the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of Brazilian health professionals. Methods: This is an integrative review in which studies published in English and Portuguese were analyzed, between January 1, 2020, and February 10, 2020, using the SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and PUBMED (Public) database Medline or Publisher Medline) using the following descriptors: Mental Health, Covid-19, Health Workers, Brazil. Results: Of the 39 studies identified after removing duplicates, 12 met the eligibility criteria. Conclusions: There is a notorious association between the Covid-19 pandemic and the worsening of the mental health of health professionals in Brazil. In the future, there may be a high demand for psychological care services due to the consequences of the Pandemic impacts on the mental health of the studied population, a fact that makes it necessary to carry out research and strategies to reverse this adversity. |

Pandemias implicam em mudanças bruscas no cotidiano da sociedade. Essas implicações geram impactos que podem ultrapassar a capacidade de enfrentamento das pessoas que a vivenciam. Nesse contexto, o presente artigo visou revisar integrativamente os possíveis impactos psicológicos decorrentes dessa realidade. Objetivo: Realiza de maneira integrativa uma revisão demonstrando os impactos da pandemia de covid-19 na saúde mental dos profissionais de saúde brasileiros. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, na qual foram analisados estudos publicados em língua inglesa e portuguesa, entre 1 de janeiro de 2020 a 10 de fevereiro de 2021, tendo como referência a base de dados SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) e PUBMED (Public Medline or Publisher Medline) empregando os seguintes descritores: Mental Health, Covid-19, Health Workers, Brazil. Resultados: Dos 39 estudos identificados após a remoção das duplicatas, 12 preencheram os critérios de elegibilidade. Conclusões: Existe uma notória associação entre a pandemia de COVID-19 e o agravo da saúde mental dos profissionais de Saúde do Brasil.
