Impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of health professionals in Brazil: An integrative review.

Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic brought insecurities, adversities, and fears that the international community has not experienced for decades. Pandemics imply sudden changes in society's daily life. These consequences generate impacts that can go beyond the facing capacity of the people who experience it. In this context, this article aimed at integrally review the possible psychological impacts resulting from this reality. Objective: To integrally review the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of Brazilian health professionals. Methods: This is an integrative review in which studies published in English and Portuguese were analyzed, between January 1, 2020, and February 10, 2020, using the SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and PUBMED (Public) database Medline or Publisher Medline) using the following descriptors: Mental Health, Covid-19, Health Workers, Brazil. Results: Of the 39 studies identified after removing duplicates, 12 met the eligibility criteria. Conclusions: There is a notorious association between the Covid-19 pandemic and the worsening of the mental health of health professionals in Brazil. In the future, there may be a high demand for psychological care services due to the consequences of the Pandemic impacts on the mental health of the studied population, a fact that makes it necessary to carry out research and strategies to reverse this adversity.
