Resumo: Systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus are the main demands of users in Primary Health Care. Thus, this work presents the report of actions carried out with hypertensive and diabetic patients in basic health units. Thus, HIPERDIA actions were carried out in two basic health units by medical students with health teams, at Olinda and Paulista city, Pernambuco state. It was noticed that it is necessary to raise awareness and awareness of hypertensive and diabetic users of the SUS about the importance of prevention and correct treatment to improve the quality of life.

Após a criação do HiperDia, ações de prevenção e promoção à saúde envolvendo usuários hipertensos e diabéticos foram implementadas na atenção primária. Durante vivência acadêmica em unidades básicas de saúde, um grupo de estudantes percebeu a necessidade de resgatar os usuários deste programa com baixa adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso.
