Resumo: With this research is pretended to comprehend how sustainable practices are in a retail service environment, and for that, the research was performed on a shopping mall in São Paulo. There, the following research problem was developed: What are the sustainable impacts applied to a shopping mall"™s retail services? The research procedure was the exploratory one, according to Cervo and Bervian (2004). And the method used was the qualitative research method one by Merriam (2002). To achive the necessary data, seven interviews were performed, based on four semi-structured scripts according to Manzini (1990/1991), based on the references. The results displayed that the Shopping Center Eldorado presents sustainable practices under the environmental, economic and social points of view.

Así­, se elaboró el problema de investigación: ¿Cuáles son las prácticas de sustentabilidad aplicada a los servicios de en un centro comercial? Este estudio fue de naturaleza exploratoria según Cervo y Bervian (2004). El método utilizado fue el cualitativo propuesto por Merriam (2002). Para realizar la recolección de datos, fueron aplicadas siete entrevistas con guí­as semiestructuradas (MANZINI, 1990/1991), basadas en el referencial teórico. Los resultados mostraron que el Shopping Center Eldorado usa prácticas sustentables bajo los puntos de vista ambiental, económico y social. Com esta pesquisa pretendeu-se compreender como são as práticas de sustentabilidade em um ambiente de serviços de varejo, e para isso, a pesquisa foi realizada em um shopping center na cidade de São Paulo. Assim, elaborou-se o problema de pesquisa: Quais as práticas da sustentabilidade aplicada aos serviços de varejo em um shopping center? A pesquisa foi de natureza exploratória segundo Cervo e Bervian (2004). O método utilizado foi o qualitativo proposto por Merriam (2002). Para realizar a coleta dos dados, foram aplicadas sete entrevistas, com roteiros semiestruturados (MANZINI, 1990/1991), baseado no referencial teórico.
