Resumo: | Objective:To analyze the trend in premature mortality rates from chronic non-communicable diseases (CNCD), in the state of Paraná, between years 2000 to 2013.Method: This is a time-series study, of CNCD mortality rate, which considered mortality from Circulatory System Diseases (CAD), Respiratory System Diseases (RSD), Neoplasms and Diabetes Mellitus in individuals aged 30 to 69 years. Results: Higher rates of premature mortality in males were identified. Among the groups of causes, CADs were the ones with the highest mortality rates, followed by Neoplasms, Diabetes Mellitus and RSD. Regression Coefficients (RC), both in the state and in the 22 Health Divisions, were negative, with decreasing trends; RC was increasing only for Neoplasms and for Diabetes Mellitus. Conclusion: Premature mortality due to CNCD in the state of Paraná is decreasing; this indicates a scenario of reduction of mortality from CNCD for the next years. |
