O presente texto visa analisar o narrador, considerando a absoluta importância da construção de tal figura, no livro O vendedor de passados, sob a ótica da Análise do Discurso, especificamente através do conceito de ethos discursivo, concebido no interior de sua cena enunciativa. Assim, a descrição do aspecto cenográfico, que compõe a cena da enunciação da narrativa, permite a compreensão da vida e da identidade angolana em uma época pós-colonial e ao fim da Guerra Civil de Angola território. Diante dessas condições de investigação, esta pesquisa verificou que os mecanismos discursivos que fabricam e reiteram o ethos da osga narradora – explicitados por meio de seu tom objetivo, seu caráter frágil, tímido, retraído, mas sobrevivente, e sua corporalidade esbranquiçada de um animal rasteiro que se esgueira pelos cantos da casa – o enquadram em um estereótipo do homem angolano pós-guerra. Nesse sentido, é possível depreender da narrativa, as características que compõem o ethos do homem animalizado. Por fim, é possível estender esse exame discursivo na averiguação de como o modo da osga narrar o passado, a partir de seu ethos, promove sua fusão com o protagonista Félix Ventura, ao estabelecer reflexões sobre a existência desse narrador. Palavras-chave: O Vendedor de Passados. Osga. ABSTRACT  The present text aims to analyze the narrator, considering the absolute importance of the construction of such a figure, in the book O vendedor de passados, from the perspective of Discourse Analysis, specifically through the concept of discursive ethos, conceived within its enunciative scene. Thus, the description of the scenographic aspect, which composes the scene of the enunciation of the narrative, allows the understanding of Angolan life and identity in a post-colonial period and at the end of the Civil War in Angola territory. Given these conditions of investigation, this research verified that the discursive mechanisms that manufacture and reiterate the ethos of the narrator - explained through its objective tone, its fragile, shy, withdrawn but surviving character, and its whitish corporeality, of an animal rasteiro that sneaks around the corners of the house – fit him into a stereotype of the post-war Angolan man. In this sense, it is possible to infer from the narrative, the characteristics that make up the ethos of the animalized man. Finally, it is possible to extend this discursive examination in the investigation of how the gecko's way of narrating the past, based on its ethos, promotes its fusion with the protagonist Felix Ventura by establishing reflections on the existence of this narrator. Keywords: O Vendedor de Passados.
