Resumo: This paper aims to explain, through an interpretation of Plato’s Crito, the constitution of Socratic autonomy, which is something both rational and ethical. Our purpose is to show how lógos reflects upon itself so as to deliberate about the good and to carry out praxis. This is what defines Socratic autarchéia as founded on the emergence of individuality by way of a new notion of Soul.
