Resumo: | This is the first full translation into Portuguese of chapter I of the work De ira Dei, attributed to the late and North African writer Lactantius. This composition has an apologetic content of a Christian nature, having acquired significant reverberation in Late Antiquity. In this writing, Lactâncio dialogues with the classical philosophical tradition, seeking to justify his religious doctrinal perspective, in opposition to paganism. Finally, it should be noted that the proposed arrival text is part of the critical edition established by Sources Chrétiennes (1982). |
