Resumo: In this paper, I propose that the attribution of a theology to Aristotle derives from three main strands, namely (i) the characterization of one of the theoretical philosophies in Metaphysics E1 as a theological philosophy, (ii) the study carried out by Aristotle in book Λ of that work, and (iii) the very title “τὰ μετὰ τὰ φυσικά”. I also emphasize that there are two senses of theology in Aristotle, a positive and a negative one, and I make some observations about the concept of divinity. Finally, I consider that, although part of Metaphysics Λ contains a discussion about god, this does not amount to a theology in the Aristotelian sense.

Destaco, além disso, que há dois sentidos do conceito de teologia em Aristóteles, um positivo e um negativo, e faço algumas observações sobre o conceito de divindade.
