Resumo: This paper presents the process of cataloging the collection in Braille of the Arthur Vianna Public Library, having in view the specificity of a Braille collection that needs an appropriate treatment that cannot always be offered by the institutions, the present work aims at explaining the needs, challenges and the conclusions reached so that it can be cataloged and included in the collection in a retrievable way, Thus, based on the literature and the experiences provided in the profession, we came to the conclusion of procedures that could be adopted so that the user could have more autonomy, being used signage and organizing the collection by making use of Cutter, without forgetting how the document should be integrated into information systems.
