Research in environmental education in contemporary Brazil: between the disciplinary field and democratic governmentality

Resumo: | This paper prepared by invitation from the Environmental Education WG for the 38th annual meeting of the National Education Research Association (ANPEd, Brazil, 2017) proposes to present a foreign look at the research carried out in this area in Brazil, by the research groups that make up the Working Group. Around this set of research, it questions the constitution of a disciplinary field for environmental education in Brazil in recent decades, as well as seeks to analyze these researches in the context of a “democratic governmentality”, which would be setting the tone for the biopolitical production of public policies in education in Brazil. It concludes by launching to the WG the challenge of carrying out an anarcheological research on the field. The concepts used are derived from the philosophy of Michel Foucault. |

The concepts used are derived from the philosophy of Michel Foucault.Este texto ha sido preparado originariamente como un trabajo encargado por el GT Educación Ambiental para la reunión anual de la Asociación Nacional de Investigación en Educación (ANPEd, Brasil, 2017) y se propone a presentar una mirada ajena para las investigaciones hechas en esta área en Brasil, por los equipos de investigación que hacen parte de aquel Grupo de Trabajo. Alrededor de estas investigaciones, se interroga sobre la constitución, en el país, de un campo de investigación por la educación ambiental; intenta analizar estas investigaciones en el contexto de una “gubernamentalidad democrática”, responsable por la producción biopolítica de políticas públicas en educación en Brasil en los últimos decenios. En la conclusión, expone al GT el desafío de realizar una investigación “anarqueológica” sobre el campo. Los conceptos manejados en el texto son derivados de la filosofía de Michel Foucault.Este texto, originariamente preparado como trabalho encomendado do GT Educação Ambiental para a 38ª reunião anual da ANPEd (2017) propõe-se a apresentar um olhar estrangeiro para as pesquisas realizadas nesta área no Brasil, pelos grupos de pesquisa que compõem o GT. Em torno deste conjunto de pesquisas, interroga-se sobre a constituição de um campo disciplinar pela educação ambiental no Brasil nas últimas décadas, bem como procura analisar estas pesquisas no âmbito de uma “governamentalidade democrática”, que estaria dando o tom da produção biopolítica de políticas públicas em educação no Brasil nas últimas décadas. Conclui lançando ao GT o desafio de realizar uma pesquisa anarqueológica sobre o campo.
