Resumo: This research analyzed the school educational process based on the relationship between environmental education policies and the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) based on the perceptions, actions and practices of the subjects involved. The qualitative approach was adopted, using as instruments for the data collected: official documents, participant observation, semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze the information. The study demonstrated that the central importance acquired by the school garden in educational practices of Environmental Education mobilizing themes such as healthy eating and food security. Meanwhile, the clues presented in the National School Food Program about the discussion on healthy eating from the perspective of educational practice at school have only effectively come into being through Environmental Education actions and the school garden project.

Investigamos a percepção ambiental de alunos do ensino fundamental e médio no oeste de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Estudamos a percepção sobre bioindicadores de qualidade de água por questionários e jogos, antes e após oficina sobre macroinvertebrados aquáticos. Alunos que aprenderam a reconhecer a bioindicação dos invertebrados começaram a reconhecer também a qualidade dos rios próximos, indicando o sucesso da oficina na percepção ambiental. Após a oficina, 82% dos alunos concluíram o Bentos game de forma correta, indicando ser uma atividade cativante e lúdica, indicando que a “gameficação” da aprendizagem é efetiva na transferência do conteúdo formal.
