Today's young students are the next generation that tomorrow will have to bear the consequences of the effects of climate change in an ecological crisis. Aware of the immobility of political leaders in matters of climate and the environment, these young people want to take the reins of their own destiny, committing themselves to act against the effects of climate change. However, the compartmentalized, fragmented, disjunctive and disciplinary educational model is not adapted to the great challenges posed by climate and environmental changes. In this article, we propose a reflection on the idea of ​​transformation, in the way knowledge is linked, in learning for citizenship in which the teaching of the human condition will place the student's critical thinking at the center of his condition as a conscious citizen. We used the research program, Global Youth Climate Pact as the basis for our reflection. We conclude that without a transformation of environmental education, the complexities and uncertainties of an ever-changing world will go unanswered.
