Discussing the Political Pedagogical Project and the Environmental Education at a São Paulo public school

Resumo: By taking on the role as the locus of discussions on the environmental theme, the school allows teachers and managers to learn about Environmental Education (EE) to insert it in school normative and policy documents. Therefore, the present paper shows the result of a research that involved discussions on the Political Pedagogical Project (PPP) and the introduction of EE as a common component of the disciplines in order to be developed in an interdisciplinary and transversal way. The research has a qualitative approach and describes a case study. Such discussions were held during the Class of Collective Pedagogical Work (ATPC) in which 35 teachers of final years of Elementary School and High School participated regarding Language Codes, Natural Sciences, Human Sciences and Mathematics from a state school in São Paulo countryside. The research results showed that the teachers were unaware of the PPP content and the way the EE was inserted in that document. The discussions enabled the teachers to understand the importance of EE and its contextualization in the PPP, as well as to understand that the insertion of debates between teachers and the management team is essential to ensure that such theme is implemented in school.

De esta forma, este artículo presenta el resultado de una investigación que abarcó discusiones sobre el Proyecto Político Pedagógico (PPP) y la introducción de la EA como componente común a las disciplinas a ser desarrolladas de forma interdisciplinaria y transversal. La investigación posee un enfoque cualitativo y presenta la descripción de un estudio de caso. Estas discusiones tuvieron lugar en las Clases de Trabajo Pedagógico Colectivo (CTPC) con la participación de 35 docentes de los Últimos Años de la Enseñanza Fundamental y de la Enseñanza Media en las áreas de Códigos del Lenguaje, Ciencias Naturales, Ciencias Humanas y Matemática en una escuela pública del interior de São Paulo. Los resultados de la investigación mostraron que los docentes desconocían el contenido del PPP y la forma en que estaba incluida la EA en este documento. Las discusiones posibilitaron que los docentes comprendieran la importancia de la EA y su contextualización en el PPP, así como comprender que la inserción de debates entre docentes y el equipo directivo es imprescindible para garantizar que esta temática sea implementada en la escuela.A escola ao assumir o seu papel como o lócus das discussões sobre a temática ambiental proporciona aos professores e gestores conhecerem sobre Educação Ambiental (EA) para inseri-la nos documentos normativos e políticos escolar. Desta forma, este artigo apresenta o resultado de uma pesquisa que envolveu discussões sobre o Projeto Político Pedagógico (PPP) e a introdução da EA como um componente comum as disciplinas para ser desenvolvida de modo interdisciplinar e transversal. A pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativo e apresenta a descrição de um estudo de caso. Essas discussões ocorreram nas Aulas de Trabalho Pedagógico Coletivo (ATPC) com a participação de 35 professores do Ensino Fundamental Anos Finais e Ensino Médio das áreas de Códigos de Linguagens, Ciências da Natureza, Ciências Humanas e Matemática em uma escola estadual do interior de São Paulo. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram que os professores desconheciam o conteúdo do PPP e a maneira como a EA estava inserida nesse documento.
