Innovations in the banking sector are marked by constant evolution and the search for competitive advantage and organizational performance, which bring more security, efficiency and reliability to its customers. An innovative organization needs to drive the innovative environment with the primary support and supervision of its leaders, as well as the use of environmental practices, as it begins to integrate the perception of sustainability into its business strategies, adding to its financial criteria in its management decisions. In this context, the research aims to analyze innovation in the banking sector and its relationship with leadership, environmental practices and organizational performance. The methodology used was a quantitative, descriptive, survey, consisting of 160 respondents. Descriptive statistics, statistical tests, as well as Exploratory Factor Analysis were used for data analysis. The results highlight that innovations in the banking sector are positively related to greater profitability. It is also inferred that when the financial institution performs environmental practices, there is a positive influence on the customers' view of the institution, as well as, it is emphasized that innovations and leadership in the banking sector provide an increase in productivity and organizational performance.
