CONTINUOUS IN-SERVICE TRAINING: THE ROLE OF REFLECTION AND ITS EFFECTIVENESS IN TEACHER PRACTICES

Resumo: Discussions about the continuing education of teachers have occurred throughout the history of education and, even so, there is a lot to think about the issue of the effectiveness of this process as something that contributes to student learning in public schools. This article is part of this dialogue, without intending to provide answers, but with the aim of raising doubts and questions that enable the assessment and refinement of the view on continuing education in service, which normally occurs within the monthly workload of teachers. To better understand this process, we will analyze a training proposal that is carried out by the municipality of Novo Hamburgo and that is registered in the Guidebooks that the municipal network built to guide the pedagogical work in all municipal schools. Thus, we will start from a bibliographical research, analyzing official documents based on the researches of ZEICHNER (1993; 2008), NÓVOA (1992; 2019) and SCHON (1992) on the question of reflection as a structuring concept of the continuing education of teachers. Based on this analysis, we intend to contribute to the discussions on aspects of this important formative moment that takes place in the daily life of basic education schools and which focuses on strengthening the initial training of teachers and guaranteeing students' learning rights.

Este artigo se insere nesse diálogo, sem a pretensão de trazer respostas, mas com o intuito de suscitar dúvidas e questionamentos que possibilitem avaliar e apurar o olhar sobre a formação continuada em serviço, que ocorre normalmente dentro da carga horária mensal dos professores. Para entender melhor esse processo, analisaremos uma proposta de formação que é realizada pelo município de Novo Hamburgo e que se encontra registrada nos Cadernos Orientadores que a rede municipal construiu para orientar o trabalho pedagógico em todas as escolas municipais. Dessa forma, partiremos de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, analisando documentos oficiais com base nas pesquisas de Zeichner (1993, 2008), Nóvoa (1992, 2019) e Schon (1992) sobre a questão da reflexão como um conceito estruturante da formação continuada de professores.
