Resumo: Introduction: The aging process is a natural and physiological occurrence that manifests itself in a unique way in each individual. Physiological changes common in this age group have played a significant role in the increase in cases of falls and trauma, resulting in an increase in fractures among the elderly population. These fractures represent the main cause of disability, functional impairment and mortality in this group of people. Physiotherapy has stood out as an essential therapeutic approach for the recovery of these patients, improving joint flexibility, muscle strength, balance and proprioception, in addition to reducing discomfort, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of applying a physiotherapeutic protocol in treatment of elderly people after falls. This benefits day-to-day activities and patients’ quality of life. Objective: To analyze physiotherapy treatment techniques in post-fall rehabilitation in the elderly. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review research. Results: Physiotherapy treatment proved to be effective, using various techniques, such as kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy, balance and proprioception training, resulting in an advantageous recovery and ensuring the patient's return to their daily activities.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-11-22info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/93410.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p3653-3664Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3653-3664Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3653-3664Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3653-36642674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/934/1046Copyright (c) 2023 Gabriela Dias de Souza, Rosileide Alves Livramento https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Souza, Gabriela Dias deLivramento , Rosileide Alves2023-11-22T23:13:11Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/934Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-11-22T23:13:11Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
