Resumo: Aim: to evaluate sociodemographic, anthropometric and dietary profile of uterine myoma patients in a university hospital in Recife – PE. Methods: a descriptive case series study with a quantitative approach, with a sample of hospitalized adult women, who were at any stage of the disease. A semistructured questionnaire was administered to collect sociodemographic and anthropometric data, and a Food Frequency Questionnaire semi quantitative, adapted was administered to dietary intake assessment. Results: the sample was 45 patients, aged  ≥ 35 years (91,1%), from urban areas, 84.4% were married and 44.4% were brown. Mean weight was 72.92 ± 12.33 kg, Body Mass Index 28.58± 4,62kg/m² and arm circumference was classified as eutrophic (105.61%). The food consumption that may be related to developing the myoma showed that 84.4% of the sample consumed red meat daily, within the recommendation, while 95.6% had high consumption of simple carbohydrates. Regarding foods that may contribute preventing myioma, daily intake of fish was 2.2% and 95.6% had consumption of fruits below the recommendation. Conclusion: risk factors involved in myoma etiology were minimal, such as age above 30 years, less consumption of food that may reduce the risk and high consumption of simple carbohydrate may be related to developing the disease. Furthermore, overweight was prevalent. Keywords: Myoma, Diet, Obesity, Life style.
