Resumo: The Education Program for Working for Health (PET-Health) aims at qualifying undergraduate health students through teaching-service-community integration within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS). This work aims to present a successful experience of insertion of Pharmacy and Nutrition students in the Basic Health Units (UBS) of the Eastern Regional Health Coordination (CRS Eastern) of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil. Through interdisciplinarity, the students had the opportunity to observe and collaborate with the functioning of the UBS, in addition to developing health education actions, where, among other aspects, the lack of pharmacists and nutritionists in the multidisciplinary team of primary care (AB) was noted. It is concluded that PET-Health inserts and brings students from different areas of knowledge closer to the reality of AB, contributing to the training of professionals so that they can work in a multidisciplinary team.
