Resumo: To think about population migration in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries is to reflect on the process of constitution of the population in a society, because at this time the social and cultural configurations are changing, ordering urban groups with the intention of organizing and disciplining the worker. in this new nation, now republican. When studying the migrations caused by drought and also by political circumstances, we must understand the scenario of these migrants, this environment filled with political issues and interests related to power.

Al estudiar las migraciones causadas por la sequía y también por las circunstancias políticas, debemos comprender el escenario de estos migrantes, este entorno lleno de cuestiones políticas e intereses relacionados con el poder.Pensar sobre a migração populacional no final do século XIX e início do século XX é refletir sobre o processo de constituição da população numa sociedade, pois neste momento as configurações sociais e culturais se alteram, ordenando grupos urbanos com a intenção de organizar e disciplinar o trabalhador nessa nova nação, agora republicana.
