Resumo: Health education has been discussed and rethought in the sense of becoming more coherent with the social demands and the Unified Health System needs. The inclusion of students in health services since the beginning of the undergraduate course emerges as a device with the potential to generate the desired transformations. The objective of this study is to describe an experience report of four students from a public University in the South of Brazil, in the curricular component Collective Health II, during the practices experiences at a Family Health Center (FHC). Initially, the students continued to deepen their knowledge of the previous semester, about the territory and the primary health service. This activity was conducted by home visits and exploring issues related to health surveillance. In the course of their experiences, it was noticed that the CSF had not performed the territorialization process, since the transition to the Family Health Strategy occurred recently. The group then proposed to assist one of the Community Health Agents (CHA) for construction of an intelligent map of the micro area, in a second moment, the activity was socialized with the other CHA and team members. The experience showed that the practical in the FHC provided reflections, restlessness, search for answers and construction of meaningful knowledge for the students involved. To create the intelligent map, they reflected on the territory, the health-disease process and health surveillance, among other topics. It is also noticed that the presence of the students in the service “moved” the team, contributing to the permanent education.
