Resumo: This article analyzes the operational evolution and increasing complexity in the economic-financial management of a community forest enterprise in the Tapajós National Forest (FLONA Tapajós) in the Belterra municipality, Pará, Brazil. This is a descriptive case study considering the period between 2005 and 2020. Documents were reviewed related to legal forms and official forestry permits, the execution of operational plans related to the forest management plan, and economic-financial management of the enterprise, in addition to a review of policies and norms pertinent to community forest management. The cooperative has generated millions of reais (BRL) a year, contributing to social development and the protection of the FLONA Tapajós. The hurdles to implement community forest management have lead to learning for the cooperative members and the management of FLONA Tapajós. In the Amazonia it has been a reference for other community forest management initiatives.

Se trata de una investigación descriptiva basada en un estudio de caso teniendo en cuenta el periodo de 2005 a 2020. Se verificaron documentos relacionados con la formalización y legalización de actividades, ejecución de Planes Operativos vinculados al Plan de Manejo Forestal y la gestión económico-financiera del emprendimiento, además de una revisión de políticas y normas encaminadas a la gestión forestal comunitaria. La cooperativa ha generado millones de reales por año, ayudando al desarrollo social y la protección del Bosque Nacional Tapajós. Las dificultades con la ejecución de la gestión forestal comunitaria han venerado aprendizajes para los cooperativistas y para la gestión de la unidad de conservación. En la Amazonía ha sido un referente para otras iniciativas de Manejo Forestal Comunitario. Este artigo analisa a evolução operacional e o aumento da complexidade na gestão econômico-financeira de um empreendimento florestal comunitário em execução na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós (FLONA do Tapajós), no município de Belterra, Pará, Brasil. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva baseada em um estudo de caso considerando o período de 2005 a 2020. Foram verificados documentos relacionados à formalização e legalização das atividades, execução dos planos operacionais vinculados ao plano de manejo florestal e à administração econômico-financeira do empreendimento, além de uma revisão sobre as políticas e normas voltadas ao manejo florestal comunitário. A cooperativa tem movimentado milhões de reais por ano, auxiliando no desenvolvimento social e na proteção da FLONA do Tapajós. As dificuldades com a execução do manejo florestal comunitário têm gerado aprendizados para os cooperados e para a gestão da unidade de conservação.
