Mathematical modeling, differential and integral calculus and database: a study on Brazilian research

Resumo: This paperpresents a cut of investigationsthat to aims analyze asresearches that use mathematical modeling likesupportto the teaching of the Differential and Integral Calculus discipline are presented, and next to stock them in a database. As methodological, the procedures of Mapping in Educational Research wereused. The data were constituted from the selection of ten surveys published in two databases For the analysis, seven categories were established: a) context of the research; b) research question / objective; c) theoretical reference; d) methodology; e) main results; f) prospects for continuity; and g) contents of differential and integral calculus. After the mapping, the researches were available on the network, organized in a database created for this purpose. The study allowed us to identify the relevance of the use of methodological procedures as Mathematical Modeling in teaching and learning of the discipline of differential and integral calculus. It was verified that the use of this methodology allows the students to feel motivated in the learning process of this discipline, getting the interestby the study ofthe calculus.

Como abordagem metodológica, se utilizou os procedimentos do Mapeamento na Pesquisa Educacional. Os dados foram constituídos a partir da seleção de dez pesquisas publicadas em dois bancos de dados. Para a análise, estabeleceram-se inicialmente sete categorias: a) contexto da pesquisa; b) questão de pesquisa/objetivo; c) referencial teórico; d) metodologia; e) principais resultados; f) perspectivas de continuidade; e g) conteúdo do Cálculo diferencial e integral. Após o mapeamento, as pesquisas foram disponibilizadas na rede, organizadas em um banco de dados criado para este fim. O estudo permitiu identificar a relevância da utilização de procedimentos metodológicos como a Modelagem Matemática no ensino e na aprendizagem da disciplina de Cálculo diferencial e integral.
