Resumo: | nthis present study it is described the results on the use of Geogebra Software as a teacher’s auxiliary tool, to teach complex numbers. The data were collected from the development of activities in the Mathematics studies, offered to students of the 3rd grade of High School in a public school, in Parintins/Amazonas. Those data aimed to stimulate students’ learning in relation to mathematical concepts, Argand Gauss' plan and demonstrations of the mathematical complexes. The results could indicate the need touse mathematical softwares in classes continuously, as a way to teach contents in a logic, which could integrate theory and practice. The use of Geogebra enabled the student to use strategies, leading him to become involved in mathematical applications, developing and improving logical reasoning skills. Also, the teacher’s opportunity to create a learning environment in which communication was beneficial, providing moments of interaction, exchanges of experiences and discussions |

Os dados foram coletados a partir do desenvolvimento de atividades na disciplina Matemática, oferecida a alunos do 3o ano do Ensino Médio numa escola pública de Parintins/Amazonas. Teve objetivo estimular a aprendizagem dos estudantes em relação à conceitos matemáticos, plano de Argand Gauss e demonstrações dos complexos. Os resultados indicam necessidade de utilização dos softwares matemáticos de forma contínua nas aulas, como forma de ensinar conteúdos numa lógica que integre teoria e prática no ensino.
