The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Technological Education: emerging implications

Resumo: | This article presents the results of a bibliographic research, which involved the collection of information from texts, books, articles, and other scientific materials regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. For the selection of relevant articles, books, and websites, we utilized AI tools, specifically ChatGPT and Researchrabbitapp. The guiding question of this stage of the research is: considering the implementation of AI in educational institutions, what implications might these trends have for education? The research employs a qualitative, exploratory, and interpretative approach. We established relevance criteria for choosing articles, including the number of references in other publications, accesses, peer reviews, author profiles, among others, prioritizing the most recent ones (last 5 years). The main implications identified were: recognizing the potential of AI in terms of its applicability in education, the need for ongoing teacher training so that they can develop AI skills involving critical evaluation of its use, data privacy and security, personalized teaching, reconfiguration of teaching practices, and inclusion and equity in the implementation of AI in education. |

Para la selección de artículos, libros y sitios web relevantes, recurrimos a herramientas de IA, específicamente ChatGPT y Researchrabbitapp. La pregunta guía de esta etapa de la investigación es: considerando la implementación de la IA en las instituciones educativas, ¿cuáles implicaciones podrían tener estas tendencias para la educación? La investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo, exploratorio e interpretativo. Establecimos criterios de relevancia para la elección de los artículos, incluyendo el número de referencias en otras publicaciones, accesos, evaluaciones por pares, perfil de los autores, entre otros, priorizando los más recientes (últimos 5 años). Las principales implicaciones identificadas fueron: reconocer las potencialidades de la IA en términos de su aplicabilidad en la educación, la necesidad de formación continua de profesores para que puedan desarrollar habilidades en IA que involucren una evaluación crítica de su uso, la privacidad y seguridad de los datos, la personalización de la enseñanza, la reconfiguración de las prácticas docentes, y la inclusión y equidad en la implementación de la IA en la educación.Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, que consistiu na coleta de informações a partir de textos, livros, artigos e demais materiais de caráter científico sobre a Inteligência Artificial (IA) na educação. Para a seleção de artigos, livros e sites relevantes, recorremos a ferramentas de IA, especificamente o ChatGPT e o Researchrabbitapp. O problema que norteia esta etapa da pesquisa é: considerando a implementação da IA nas instituições de ensino quais implicações essas tendências podem ter para a educação? A pesquisa apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa, do tipo exploratória, de natureza interpretativa. Estabelecemos critérios de relevância para a escolha dos artigos, incluindo a quantidade de referências em outras publicações, acessos, avaliação entre pares, perfil dos autores, entre outros, e priorizamos os mais recentes (últimos 5 anos).
